Guest Spot - Blog from Amy Allen Photography

Taking on a blog may be all but imperative in today's social networking world, but it can also be daunting and bring on the inertia of writer's block, or in my case, photographer's block.  Which photos to showcase?  Which heartwarming stories to relate?  Which trends to mention and, perhaps most important, what advice to share with brides.

The answer was quite simple really -- do it all!  And so I welcome you to the Amy Allen Photography Blog where you will find not only thematic words on photography, but the pictures which are worth thousands of them.  At present I am anticipating blogging as follows: each week I will feature photos and tales of weddings past in all their unique glory.... As anyone will tell you, I have been blessed to work with the best brides in the world! They have taught me a lot when it comes to both love and grace... and some have had simply gorgeous shoes!!!!... You'll find I have a penchant for fine footwear.

Additionally I will include a weekly Ask Amy or Amy Speaks post or something along those lines, where I address questions I commonly receive from clients as well as photography lovers.  And last, perhaps nearest and dearest to my heart, I will post something pertaining to my beloved historic East Village where my studio is located.  The area boasts not only a rich tradition, but a current and vibrant small business community as colorful as the neighborhood's history.
